CITY OF FOWLER – JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE: MAINTENANCE WORKER; REPORTS TO: CITY SUPERINTENDENT & GOVERNING BODY; RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintenance worker is responsible for completion of all maintenance for city water, sewer, street, park, baseball fields, golf course, equipment and structures as assigned by City Superintendent. Maintenance worker shall maintain effective working relationship with City Superintendent, co-workers, vendors and general public. Communicate with City Superintendent to establish efficient plans to complete required work. Maintenance worker shall have the ability to complete necessary work in the supervisor’s absence. Maintenance worker shall follow established work plan and provide monthly reports to Governing Body. Maintenance worker should be able to work in variety of extreme weather conditions. Maintenance worker should be able to handle physical activities which include lifting items up to approximately 60 lbs, bending, pushing, and walking over rough terrain when working outside. Job requires employee to follow all rule of the City Handbook and work efficiently and safely and to perform all other duties as deemed necessary or assigned.
